Griffin, Georgia, Tuesday Morning, May 29, 1888 Robert Freeman, Sr., an old and respected citizen of this county, died at his residence three miles north of Griffin. He was about seventy years of age and for many years a preacher in the Primitive Baptist church. His death was caused by dropsy. The Griffin Daily News. Griffin, Georgia, Thursday Morning, May 31, 1888 The funeral service of Rev. Robt. Freeman yesterday was largely attended. Many friends gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to one of the best citizens Spalding county ever had. He was buried in the cemetery of this city.
