Huckaby Goes to Reward Mrs. Susan Rebecca Huckaby, widow of the late L.G. Huckaby, died at her home at 730 West Poplar street Sunday night at 11 o'clock, following an illness of approximately nine weeks. Funeral services will be held from the home of her niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Mote, on Cherokee Road, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev Fred L. Gibson, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Zetella with Haisten Brothers, funeral directors, in charge. Lived Here 38 Years. Mrs. Huckaby was the daughter of the late Talbot Isdoll and Leviticus Jordan Isdoll. She had made her home in Griffin for the past 38 years and has countless friends here who will regret to learn of her death. She was a devoted member of the First Methodist church and was one of the most beloved women in the city. Mrs. Huckaby is survived by a sister, Mrs Leola Ruffin, of Griffin; nieces, Mrs. M.E. Mote, of Griffin; Mrs. Susie Blair, of Thomaston; Mrs. Arabella Herndon, of Butler; Mrs. Annie Williamson, of Thomaston; and Mrs. Lizzie Mae Capel, of Molena; nephews, Dr. A.H. Huckaby, of Griffin; Otis Ruffin, of Silura, Ala.; Ezra Ruffin, Grover Ruffin, W.d. McSwain and H.G. McSwain, all of Thomaston; and grandchildren, Mrs. Colon Boggs, Miss Lois Daniel, Mrs. Chester Roberts, L.G. Daniel, Grady Daniel and Joe Huckaby, all of Griffin.
