Mrs. Sarah Huckaby, Beloved Citizen, Goes to Reward

Mrs. Sara Eliza Huckaby, wife of J.G. Huckaby, died at her home 930 W. Poplar 
street, this morning at 7 o'clock.  Mrs. Huckaby, one of the most beloved 
women of this county had been ill for the past week with influenza later 
developing into pneumonia.   She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist 
church.  She was the daughter of the late Toliver Isdol and Lou Jordan Isdol.  
Mrs. Huckaby was 70 years of age being born August 22 1858.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. M.E. Mote 
of Griffin, Mrs. J.F. Herndon, Macon, Ga, and Mrs. C. H. Capel, Molena, Ga, 
one son, Dr. A.H. Huckaby, Griffin and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Huckaby, 
Griffin, and Mrs. Leola Ruffin, Thomaston.
Funeral services will be held from the home, 930 W. Poplar street Saturday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Rev. Mr. Gary and Rev. H.S. Smith will officiate.  
Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery with Haisten Brothers in charge.  
The pallbearers will be C.E. Street, Col. C.A. Byars, A.T. Sauley, F.W. 
Fisher, E.A. Scales and Col. J.O. Futral and are requested to meet at the 
chapel of Haisten Brothers at 1:30 o'clock.
