Empire State – Spalding County – Week of July 20, 1859
Joseph Duncan

Col. Joseph Duncan, of this city, died in Milledgeville, on Monday last, to 
which place he had gone a few weeks ago, on a visit to some of his relatives.  
Col. Duncan was a man of many social qualities.  His remains were brought to 
this place on Tuesday last for interment.
