The Griffin Daily News. Griffin, Georgia, Friday Morning, January 4, 1889

Mrs. Jane A Freeman, whose death occurred last Friday and was mentioned last 
Saturday, was the widow of the late Robert Freeman and was in her 67th year. 
Although a long sufferer, she bore her trials with Christian fortitude. She was 
beloved by all who knew her, being a woman of many virtues and great charity. 
Mrs. Freeman was the mother of Mrs. B.F. Doe and Mrs. C.R. Doe, of this city, 
the daughter of W.S. Heronton, who was one of the first merchants in Griffin.
