W. P. COLEMAN GOES TO REWARD Funeral service for Mr. W. P. Coleman, who died Sunday, were held from the County Line Methodist church at Birdie this afternoon at 2:20 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Gentry, the pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. J. F. Norton. Interment was in the churchyard with Haisten Brothers in charge. The following gentlemen served as pall-bearers: H. S. Bridges, J. E. Elder, Henry Aiken, Cary Westbrook, C. L. Elder and Oscar Norton. Mr. Coleman, a well known farmer of this county, died at the Strickland Memorial Hospital Sunday morning at an early hour. He had been ill for the past year but was admitted to the hospital only a few days ago. He was 63 years of age and was the son of the late John Coleman and Sallie Ogletree Coleman, who were pioneer residents of this section. In addition to his wife, Mary Elizabeth Coleman, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Goodsen, Griffin; Mrs. M. H. Smith, Griffin; and Mrs. R. G. Smith, Perry; one son, Walter Coleman, Griffin; and five brothers, John Coleman, Bowden, Tenn.; Guinn Coleman, Griffin; Frank Johnson, Charles Johnson and Billy Johnson, all of Florida.
