P. Coleman, died at her home on the Atlanta highway at 9 o'clock Thursday night. She had been ill for two weeks. She was a lifelong resident of Spalding County and was 77 years old. She was a member of the County Line Methodist Church at Birdie. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at County Line Methodist Church with the Rev. J. J. M. Mize officiating. Burial will be in the County Line cemetery with Haisten Brothers in charge. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. M. H. Smith, Mrs. Clara Smith, and Mrs. J. C. Goodson, all of Griffin; one son, Walter Coleman of Griffin; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Smith of Atlanta and Mrs. Ida Wright of Griffin. The body will lie in state at the church from 10 until 11 o'clock Saturday morning. Additional Comments: Mary Elizabeth Hammond was born on December 27, 1870 in Spalding County to Charles Milas Hammond (1849-1922) and Roseller Amanda Clementine Crawley (1850- 1926). She was married to Walter Flem Coleman on December 21, 1890 in Spalding County. Charles Milas Hammond was the son of Samuel J. Hammond (1822-1900) and Mary Ann Murdock (1824-1896). Samuel J. Hammond was the son of Charles Hammond (1793-1888) and Martha Naomi Martin (1784-1822). Rosie Crawley was born in Pike County to Ginathan Crawley (1799-1881) and Elizabeth Rodgers (1804-1857).
