Mr. Jim Goodson Dies Suddenly

Mr. James Carlton “Jim” Goodson died suddenly this morning at his home on the 
Fayetteville road.

He was born and reared in Spalding County.  He was a retired farmer and a 
deacon at McIntosh Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtice Coleman Goodson; four daughters, Mrs. 
C. Edward Helms, Mrs. William S. Westmoreland, Mrs. Wyman Mathews, all of 
Griffin, and Mrs. Wendell Collins of Unadilla, Ga.; six grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Haisten Brothers Funeral Home.


Additional Comments:
James Carlton Goodson, born January 11, 1889 in Spalding County, was the son 
of Jordan Goodson and Sarah Bates.
