Spangler, who was horribly burned when a gasoline torch exploded in his hand at the Pomona Products factory, Tuesday morning died at six o'clock from his injuries. From the time of the accident it was realized that he was seriously injured and no hope was entertained for his recovery. Spangler and is also survived by his wife and two children, who have the deep sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Funeral services for the deceased were held at the Methodist church at Sunny Side at three o'clock Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. A. Drewry, of Griffin, and were largely attended by friends of Mr. Spangler and his family. Additional Comments: The Sunnyside United Methodist Church from Spalding County archives.
