Judge Robert T. Daniel

Fitzgerald, Ga., May 27 –

Judge Robert T. Daniel, of Griffin, Ga., Sovereign Grand Sire of the Sovereign 
Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of the World, died early 
this evening following a stroke of apoplexy that he suffered earlier in the day.

Judge Daniel was stricken just at the close of his address before 1,200 
delegates to the state convention of Odd Fellows.  He had told of his work as 
head of the order, of his visits to the lodges in Canada and all parts of the 
United States, when concluding rather abruptly, he reeled backward and fell 
into a chair.  His right side was paralyzed.
