Death came suddenly to Arch Cunningham Saturday morning, who was found dead by Ed Waldrop about seven o'clock at his post of duty at the Towaliga Milling Company's plant on West Broad street. The young man had been left in charge by his grandfather, S. H. Cunningham, superintendent of the mill. Coroner J. M. Bell empaneled a jury and after calling in Dr. Frye and making an examination, returned the following verdict; "We, the jury, empaneled to inquire into the cause of the death of Arch Cunningham, find, after examination, that he came to his death from heart failure." Those signing the verdict were L. O. Daniel, foreman O. R. Simonton, J. E. Sprayberry, W. D. Bowden, S. F. Sullivan, R. W. Lynch and J. M. Bell, coroner. The deceased was the son of George Cunningham and a young man nineteen years of age. He was a graduate of the Griffin High School and a worthy citizen. He was married about four weeks ago to Miss Esther McLeroy, and is survived by his wife, his father, grandfather and other relatives. The body was removed to a local undertaking establishment immediately after the coroner's jury reached a verdict and prepared for burial. Funeral services over the body of Mr. Cunningham will be held at his father's home near the city tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock and the interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.
