Miss Roberta Daniel Dies From Operation
Griffin Grieved Thursday Morning to Hear of the Untimely Passing of One of 
City's Loveliest Girls.

Miss Roberta Daniel died at a sanitarium in Atlanta Thursday morning, 
following an operation for appendicitis.  The news of her passing was a shock 
to the entire city.  She was carried to Atlanta Wednesday at noon and her 
serious illness was not generally known here. 
Miss Daniel was only seventeen years of age and the only daughter of Major and 
Mrs. Milton J. Daniel, who have the sincere sympathy of scores of friends in 
their sad bereavement.   She was a young girl with many beautiful traits, 
the ? of her fond parents and her untimely death brings sadness to many hearts.
The remains were brought home on the southbound Central train arriving in 
Griffin at 1:15 o'clock this afternoon and the funeral will take place from 
the family residence on West Poplar street tomorrow afternoon at five o'clock.
