W. Reed Mr. J. W. Reed, age forty-two years, died Sunday morning at his home, 215 Bell Street, after an extended illness. Besides his widow he is survived by one little daughter, Mary. He leaves his father, Mr. W. F. Reed, of Roswell, Ga., and one brother, Prof. C.W. Reed, of Thomaston, Ga. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home at three o'clock, Rev. J. A. Drewry and Rev. R.J. McElraith officiating. The interment followed at the city cemetery with Masonic honors. Mr. Reed was a contractor and builder and was well known in Griffin.
