Griffin, Georgia, Friday Morning, May 18, 1888 Death of Mr. Patillo A Prominent Methodist Minister Dies at Clarksville The Rev. G.H. Patillo died Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Clarkesville, Ga., after a lingering illness. His funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Trinity church. Rev. W.W. Wadsworth conducted the services. The Methodist ministers of Atlanta acted as pall bearers. The Rev. Mr. Patillo was well known and greatly beloved in Atlanta. At one time he was the pastor of St. Paul's Methodist church in that city. He was a prominent member of the North Georgia conference for years. At the time of his death he was about fifty years old.
