The Griffin Weekly News and Sun, August 25, 1893

After a lingering illness Mrs. J.C. Ransom died at her home on Taylor Street 
Monday afternoon at three o'clock. Mrs. Ransom was Miss Lucy Loyall, and was 
born and raised in Montecello, Ga., where she reigned a belle until she 
married J.C. Ransom, with whom she has lived happily for the last thirty 
years. As the result of thier union two children survive her, Mrs. Thomas P. 
Jones and Miss Kate Ransom, both of this city.


Additional Comments:
Lucy M. Loyall was married to John C. Ransom 26 May 1859 in Spalding County, 
Georgia. Both are buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Spalding County, Georgia.
