They probably subscribed to a GA newspaper(s), but these may just be articles sent them by people 'back home'. She was from Calhoun (Gordon Co.) and he from Sunnyside. The name of the newspaper, and alas date of obit / marriage announcement is not given in most cases.** This is the son of Dr. John P. Starr and Katie Theresa Orr of Sunnyside. My guess is, this comes from a Tulsa, OK paper. 1961 is penciled in at the top. CARL STARR RITES AT COWETA TODAY Funeral services for R. Carl Starr, 72, of Uvalde, Tex., former owner of the Shephard Elevator Co. in Tulsa and a long-time employee of the Otis Elevator Co. here, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Coweta Methodist Church. Starr, a cousin of Tulsa World Sunday Magazine columnist Fred Starr, died Sunday in a San Antonio, Tex., hospital. He is survived by the widow, Anna Orcutt Starr, a granddaughter of the late Alvin T. Hodge, a judge in the Creek Nation. Also surviving are a brother, J. H. Starr, Macon, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. J. F. Kenner, Hopewell, Va. and Mrs. Ed Julian, Johnson City, Tenn.
