Crowder-Brown

A wedding of interest to a host of friends was that of Miss Pope Crowder, of 
Griffin, Ga., to Rev. Walter E. Brown, of Atlanta, on Thursday, July. 27.

The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. 
H. Crowder, at high noon.

The two ribbon-bearers, Master William Scott and Miss Willie Ben Drewry, 
gathered the ribbons forming an aisle leading to the altar in the reception 
hall.  Smilax, ferns, white flowers formed the decorations.  Preceding the 
bride and groom came the ushers, Rev. Sam Norton and Mr. Martin Crowder.

The bride was lovely in her traveling suit of midnight blue with hat to match.  
She wore a corsage of bride roses and valley lilies.  The ceremony was 
witnessed simply by the relative of the bride and groom.  The officiating 
minister was the presiding elder of the Marietta district, Dr. Cooper.

An elaborate luncheon was served.  Rev. and Mrs. Brown left for a trip to the 
mountains.
