Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, March 5, 1897 Runaway Marriage Mr. W.A. Reeves and Mrs. Lizzie Weatherly were united in marriage yesterday morning by Ordinary Drewry in his office at the courthouse. Both parties live near Creswell. The groom is a well-to-do young farmer and the bride is - or was - a young widow. She is charming in person and thoroughly domestic. There was parental objection, but the old adage, “Love will find a way,” held good in this case. - Griffin News (Transcribed 06/17/03 Lynn Cunningham) This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.0 Kb
