STRICKLAND GEORGIA, SPALDING COUNTY. I, Emily Head Strickland, of said state and county, being of sound and disposing mind, do hereby make and declare this instrument to be my last will and testament. Item 1. I direct that all my just debts be paid, and suitable provision be made to mark my last resting place. Item 2. I give and bequeath to my nephew, Dr. Kenneth Hunt, the house and lot where I now reside in the City of Griffin, Georgia, for a sanitarium, to be known as the R. F. Strickland & Son Sanitarium. Said house and lot bounded north by Porter Mason, east by Eighth street, south by College Street and west by Dr. A. C. Layne. For the purpose of equiping and maintaining said sanitarium, I give and bequeath to him Fifteen Thousand and Nine Hundred Dollars (%15,900) in the United States Bonds, now in my safety deposit vault in the Merchants & Planters Bank of Griffin, and I direct that said amount of bonds be turned over to him after all my just debts have been paid. Item 3. I give and bequeath to my sister, Miss Hattie Head, the income from Fifteen Thousand and Nine Hundred Dollars (%15,9000) in United States Bonds, now in my safety deposit vault, for and during her natural life. Item 4. I will and bequeath to Newton Crouch, son of John Henry Crouch, ten (10) shares of stock of the Strickland-Crouch Company. Item 5. I give and bequeath to R. O. Crouch ten (10) shares of stock of the Strickland-Crouch Company. Item 6. I will and bequeath to my brother, T. J. Head, of Atlanta, Georgia, ten (10) shares of stock of the Merchants & Planters Bank of Griffin, Georgia. Item 7. I give and bequeath to my nephew, George Head, my individual one-third interest in the plantation at Riverside in Butts County, Georgia, known as Riverside. Item 8. I will and bequeath to my friend, J. C. Brookes, ten (10) shares of stock in the Griffin Hotel & Realty Company. I request that from the income or proceeds ot this legacy he keep up my cemetery lot during his life. Item 9. I own in my own name (not by inheritance from my husband) one hundred (100) shares of stock in the R. F. Strickland Company, of Concord, Georgia, I will and bequeath these shares of stock to Roger Strickland and his wife, Kate Strickland. Item 10. I will and bequeath to George Strickland, son of William Strickland, of Concord, Georgia, ten (10) shares of stock of the R. F. Strickland Company of Concord, Georgia. Item 11. I give and bequeath to Judson Strickland of Houston, Texas, fifty (50) shares of stock of the R. F. Strickland Company of Concord, Georgia. Item 12. All of the remaining shares of stock owned by me in the R. F. Strickland Company of Concord, Georgia, I will and bequeath to the corporation, the R. F. Strickland Company of Concord, Georgia. Item 13. I give and bequeath to Robert Moore on Hundred Dollars. Item 14. I will and bequeath to Robert Beckham the watch of R. F. Strickland and One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Item 15. All the balance of my property of every kind, I will and bequeath to my legal heirs, to be divided among them according to the state of distributions under the laws of Georgia. Item 16. I hereby constitute and appoint J. C. Brooks Executor of this will, to carry into effect its provisions. Strickland after the death of Miss Hattie Head, the life tenant, for distribution to the heirs of Mrs. Emily H. Strickland. Due and legal service on the within described intervention acknowledge, copy, process, and copy process and all further service and notice waived, and it is entered at the first term of Court. This the _____ day of _________, 1947. You are one of the heirs of the Emily Strickland Estate and if you will sign and return the above acknowledgement at once, it will save time and court cost, and the Fulton National Bank will distribute the funds under order of Court, and a check will be send to each heir immediately after the order is signed by the Judge at February Term of the Court.
