It was decided to allow whiskey to be sold at Nelson next year. A tax of $240.00 per year was assessed for license. A fight is being made against the granting of a license, but so far is unsuccessful. The matter will doubtless be carried to the courts for settlement, as the action of the council is considered by a number of citizens to be illegal.
