Biographical Sketches


Dr. H. P. Hansard.  Born Dec. 13, 1867.  Reared on a farm in Milton county.  
Attended the public schools in the country and at Alpharetta, Ga.  Attended 
college at Hiawassee, Ga., Towns county.  Taught school in Milton, his home 
county, and in Franklin county.

Met his wife, Miss Nannie Cleveland, while in college; married her in 
February, 1893.

Took a dental course at the Atlanta Dental College and graduated from that 
institution March, 1896.

Began practicing his profession in Buford, Ga., and later in both Toccoa and 
Buford, spending two weeks of each month in these places.

Adopted Toccoa for his permanent home June, 1906.

An active member of the Baptist church, a Royal Arch Mason and a member of the 
Junior Order of American Machanics.

Dr.  Hansard is a man who has always pursued the even tenor of his way, 
avoiding the limelight whenever possible.  His career stands for itself.  His 
integrity and honesty is unimpeachable.  His conceptionsof the moral laws and 
his high Christian ideals are two forces that have placed this man on a 
footing beyond the reach of the average critic.  He is a clean, modest and 
worthy character.

Toccoa is proud of Dr. Hansard, and he is proud of Toccoa.
