Mr. JABEL BELL, one of the oldest residents of Stephens county, died at his home place near Ebenezer Thursday afternoon at one o'clock. Mr. Bell had been in the best of health until Sunday afternoon when he suffered a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Bell has lived in Stephens county all his life and at his present home for the past forty years. He will be missed more especially by the members of Ebenezer church as he has been a member of that church for 65 years and a deacon for the past 50 years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Floyd McClure of Canton, NC, three sons, Tom, Asbury and Luther all of Toccoa, one brother, W. G. Bell, one sister, Mrs. Emily Davis, and 35 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Ebenezer church Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Tom Holcomb and Rev. Holman Kelly officiating. Interment followed in the Ebenezer cemetery.
