W. J. Anderson Dead
  Mr. W. J. Anderson was found dead in his bed last Thursday morning, April 4, 
at his home near Old Toccoa church. He had worked hard the previous day, and 
retired in as good health as usual, although he had been a great sufferer at 
times, for several years, with heart trouble. His death came as a great shock 
to his relatives and many friends, and he will be greatly missed, both in his 
church and community.
  Mr. Anderson was born May 31, 1854. He joined the Baptist church at Antioch 
in August, 1873, and transferred his membership to Old Toccoa church in 
February, 1884. He was ordained a deacon May 6, 1887, and received license to 
preach September 27, 1891. He was clerk and treasurer of his church at the time 
of his death.
  He was married to Miss Jennie Mills Dec. 6, 1879, who died a little over two 
years ago.
  He is survived by eight sons and two daughters: Messrs. J. D. and G. D., of 
Toccoa, J. L. Jr., J. S. and L. W., of Hatcher Station, Ga, W. H. and J. O., of 
Lake Park, Ga., and A. F., of Tarrant, Texas, Miss Nettie and Mrs. Carl 
Henderson, of Toccoa.
  Interment was at Old Toccoa church April 9, attended by a host of sorrowing 
relatives and friends, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. S. A. 
Rothell.
  "He has fought a good fight, he has finished his course, he has kept the 
faith; henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, which the 
Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give him at that day: and not to him only, but 
unto all them also that love His appearing."
