P. Fricks, were conducted from the Tates Creek Baptist Church, Thursday, December 4, with the Rev. George Fuller officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Fricks died on Wednesday after an illness which began when she was stricken just one day after her children and their families had gathered at her home in Habersham County to join in celebrating her eighty-sixth birthday. Survivors include six children, one son, J.B. Fricks, of Stephens County, five daughters, Mrs. W.W. Stewart, Mrs. S.S. Davis, both of near Cornelia, Mrs. Rozilla Hicks, of Lavonia, Mrs. Minnie Farr, of Bath, S.C., and Mrs. Betsy Brown, Tennile, and thirty-nine grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandchildren, LeRoy Cash, Julian Davis, Illious Fricks, Thaddius Fricks, Ben Fricks and Luther Stewart. Flower girls were Mrs. Marvin Farmer, Dorothy Farmer, Virginia Farmer, Gladys Farmer, Mildred Kellar, Mary Hazel Stephens, Edwina Segars, Ruby Lee Brown, Monteen Stewart, Annette Fricks, Mrs. Ernest Q. Fricks, and Frances Fricks. Mrs. Fricks was born a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Reynolds in the old section of Habersham County from which Stephens County was taken. She was a granddaughter of Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Ward. Her entire life was spent around the place where she was born. A member of the Baptist Church, she was forever devoted to her religion. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and her acquaintances were many. The floral tributes and attendance at the funeral gave evidence of this.
