HULSEY Athens Banner-Herald & The Daily News, Sunday, April 1, 1973 Transcribed by Connie Epps Bond October 1, 2006 TOCCOA – William E. Hulsey, 78, of Glade Creek Community, died Saturday in the Stephens County Hospital, following an extended illness. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the Blade Creek Baptist Church. The Revs. Paul Collins and Donald Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Habersham County, he was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Glade Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by six sons, Rudolph Hulsey, Jefferson Hulsey, Minyard Hulsey, Julian Hulsey, all of Mount Airy, Mrs. Margie Barnett of Toccoa and Mrs. Jean Purcell of Athens; two brothers, Osborne Hulsey of Lula and William H. Hulsey of New Holland; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Bailey of Westminster, SC and Mrs. Jessie Mae Free of holly Springs; 33 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be at the residence on the Camp Creek Road and will be placed in the church at 2:30 pm. Mathews Mortuary of Toccoa is in charge of arrangements.
