Asa Roy Jordan, 77 of Route @ Ridge Road, Eastanolle, husband of Iva Lee Stamey
Jordan, died Jan. 6 at his home.

Born September 3, 1911 in Stephens County, he was a son of the late G. F. and
Lelia Stowe Jordan and had lived all of his life in Stephens County. He was a
member Toms Creek Baptist Church, The Berean Sunday School Class and was a
cattle Farmer and retired from Stephens County school systems.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Charles A. Jordan, Denny L
Jordan and Michael R. Jordan, all of Eastanolle; one brother Henry Jordan of
Eastanolle; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Cash and Mrs. Cecil (Ila) Watkins, both of
Eastanollee; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from Toms Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Clack
Stubbs, Rev. Don Harper, Rev. James Whitlock and Mr. Otto McDonald officiating.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Nelson Evenson, Tracy Evenson, Doyle Hart, Bill Wilkinson,
Clinon Sheriff, and Troy Burton.

Whitlock Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.

Music by Wally Jordan, Juanita Wisner, Bill Stacey Edward Isbell and the Donald
Watkins Family. 


Additional Comments:


He was born September 03, 1911 in Stephen County, Georgia, and died January 06,
1989. He married ANNIE IVALEE STAMEY November 26, 1933, daughter of JOHN STAMEY
and NANCY BENFIELD. She was born July 14, 1917.
