The Toccoa Record
Miss Hattie Lee Kesler, well known Stephens County lady, passed away suddenly 
at her home near Sunshine Church early Monday morning, November 6, 1963.  Miss 
Kesler had been in ill health for one year and her death was attributed to a 
heart attack.  The daughter of the late George & Frances Miller Kesler, she 
was born June 19, 1887 in Banks County, Georgia and had lived most of her life 
in the Prospect and Sunshine communities.  She was a member of Prospect 
Methodist Church and leaves a great host of relatives and friends to mourn her 
passing.  She is survived by 2 sisters, Miss Genie Kesler of Homer and Mrs. 
Noel Cash of Toccoa; two brothers, Jack Kesler of Baxley and Lawrence Kesler 
of Toccoa and a number of nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 
Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 pm from the Prospect Methodist Church with the Rev. 
Ryan Seawright and John Ellis officiating.  Song selections are "Rock of Ages" 
and "What a Friend".  Nephews will be pallbearers.  Interment in the 
churchyard.
