Mr. Neal's death came after an extended illness. The son of the late William Perryman and Ella Brock Neal, he was born October 30, 1912 in Banks County, Georgia. Prior to his last illness, Mr. Neal taught school for a long number of years and was a former teacher at Carnes Creek School in Stephens County. At the time of his last illness, Mr. Neal was a Principal in the Morgan County School System. He was a member of the Madison Methodist Church and was teacher of the Men's Bible Class there. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florene Farmer Neal; two daughters, Mrs. Beth Neal Sims of Riverdale, Mrs. Nancy Neal Wall of Athens, Georgia, one son, James E. Neal of the residence; two grandchildren, Allen and Betsy Sims of Riverdale; 4 brothers, Mr. William P. Neal of Conyers, Mr. Frank S. Neal of Dahlonega, Mr. Hoyt C. Neal of Childersburg, Alabama and Mr. Russell O. Neal of Gainesville, Georgia; two sisters, Miss Mary Neal of Gray, Georgia, Mrs. Francene Chism of Pelham, Georgia. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Madison United Methodist Church with Vickers Funeral Home of Madison in charge of arrangements. After services in Madison, the body was brought to Toccoa for graveside services at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Acree-Davis in charge of arrangements.
