Lester Sheriff, 63, of Red Hill community, was found dead near his home late
Thursday.
Mr. Sheriff was born in Stephens County, a son of the late Robert and Mary 
Etta Swain Sheriff, and was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors:  son, Ray Sheriff, Louisville,, KY; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Hicks, 
Cugaohga Falls, Ohio and Mrs. David Bruce of Decatur, GA.  Brother, Thom 
Sheriff, Decatur, GA; 4 sisters, Hattie Brock of Carnesville, GA; Mrs. Lonnie 
Pierce, Mrs. Bedie Jordan & Mrs. Cortez McCall, all of Atlanta.
Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 1963 at Toms Creek Baptist 
Church with Rev. D. W. Satterfield and Rev. James Whitlock officiating.  
Burial in the church cemetery.
