Mr. Smith moved to Toccoa some years ago from Toccoa mountain, near the city water works, and was a sturdy, useful citizen, and will be missed greatly by his many friends. He leaves a widow and several children to mourn his loss. He was about 49 years of age. He was a member of the local camp of Woodmen of the World, which organization conducted the funeral rites on Wednesday. Rev. J.F. Eden, Jr., pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted religious services at the home. Interment was at the City Cemetery.
