  NOTE:File contains all records on file in Stephens County
  since county started keeping copies (about mid 1927) thru
  2001. There are a very few records (maybe 10 or 12) prior to
  1927. Starting sometime in 1967 or so, the State started
  providing copies of death certificates to both the county of
  death of the individual & the county of residence of the
  individual. Prior to that time, death certificates were only
filed in the county of death of the individual.
