Author: Pat Goad White

In about 1959, a relative of mine, Pat Goad White, who married J.P. White, a 
descendant of Anderson White & Mattie Harper White, of Stewart Co., GA (via 
their son James "Jim" White who married Lucy Ann Holt, niece of "Aunt Lou" 
Bussey Porter Tatum, of Louvale fame) wrote a short manuscript about the 
ancestry of her husband's mother, Susie Agnes White.  

The manuscript has been scanned and is 'online' on my website at:

for all to view.  It discusses the history of several prominent families of 
the Chattahoochee Valley in the 19th century, including Holts (chiefly from 
Talbot Co., GA), and Busseys (also from Talbot, including Lucy Ann Bussey 
Porter Tatum) and also Coxes (Ichabod Cox, from Chattahoochee County, 
grandfather of Gen. John B. Gordon) and the White family who were in Stewart 
Co in the 1850's.  Please visit the scanned manuscript.  I would like to 
transcribe it into .txt or .doc format, but it is quite voluminous and is rife 
with errors (I'm trying to outline errata at the bottom of my pages).  Thanks
