B. Latimer Ordinary of said County. The petition of Wesley Thornton shows that he is a resident of said County. That he has heretofore to wit on the 15th day of January 1876 had set apart to him under Article VII of Constitution of 1868 said State and the laws made in accordance therewith certain personalty amounting in value to three hundred twenty four dollars and fifty cents. Petitioner further shows that he is the head of a family consisting of his wife Emily Thornton 35 years of age and seven minor children to wit James 18 years old, Irvin 14 years old Jefferson 12 years old Fannie 10 years old, “Stewart six years old “Sue 4 years old Isaac 2 years old and now desires to supplement his said exemption of personalty under Section VI IX Article Constitution said State adopted the day of 1877 and now in force. Petitioner herewith presents his schedule of property which he desires to have so exempted and a list of all his Creditors with their post office address he believes and prays that your Honorable Court will grant him said Supplemental Exemption as allowed by the Constitution and the laws of this State and petitioner will give _________. Sworn and subscribed his before me this Nov 29 1879 Wesley x Thornton (SS) J B Latimre Ordy (Ordinary) mark Office of the Ordinary Stewart County Lumpkin Georgia the application of Wesley Thornton for setting apart Supplemental Homestead “coming up this day for a hearing and the requirement of the law having been fully complied with “and no objection having been filed _____ it is hereby ordered that the said application be and is hereby approved and the articles of property set forth in his schedule filed be and are hereby set apart for the sole use and benefit of his said family and free from levy and sales except as provided for by law. It is further ordered that these proceedings be recorded in book of Homestead by Clerk of Superior Court as directed by law.
