K. Rogers ROBERT L. SHIPP Robert L. Shipp, son of William W. and Mary Frances Shipp, born at Cusseta Aug. 12, 1872. He was educated in public schools at Cusseta and Americus, Ga., and at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn, Ala.; member Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity; Mason, and Knight of Pythias. Mr. R. L. Shipp studied law and was admitted to the Bar at Americus, Ga., in May, 1893; was Mayor of Moultrie, Ga., 1894-95; represented Colquit County, Ga., in General Assembly 1901-02 and again 1915-16; was delegate to National Democratic Convention at St. Louis 1912. Mr. Shipp practiced law at Moultrie, Ga, from 1893 to 1921 and in Miami; Fla. from 1921 to date. He was President of Bade County, Florida Bar Association 1931 and at present is Attorney for Board of Public Institution of Dade County, Florida and member of law firm of Shipp, Evans, and Kline. In November 1896 Robert L. Shipp married Emily Eugenia Kline at Columbus, Ga. Their two children are William W. and Mary, wife of Br. Henry M. McGehee of Atlanta, Ga.
