It is transcribed as it was written. This record and records from Book of Returns 9 1848-54 and Book of Returns E 1858-1870 are a mystery, especially from 1840 -1860. On the 1840 & 1850 Census Records Elijah Cutts is listed as head of household. During the years 1847 -1856, other siblings of Delilah and John C. Cutts appear in the Return records as orphans & minors of Elijah Cutts with James Parker as their guardian yet Elijah is still living according to the Census Records in which case they would not be orphans. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
