Georgia       }  This indenture made this 17th day of June 1870.  Mary Aycock,
Sumter County }  Lurana Bailey, and Amanda Frazier of the one part and Noel
                 Register of the other part all of said state and county, 
Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the 
sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to them in hand paid at and before 
the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these 
presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part 
his heirs and assigns the east half of that tract or lot of land situate lying 
and being in the county aforesaid in the fifteenth District of said county and 
known as the east half of lot number one hundred and seventy three containing 
one hundred one and one fourth acres more or less.  To have and to hold tract 
or parcel of land to him the said Noel Register his heirs and assigns together 
with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same 
in any reason belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof 
forever in fee simple and the said parties of the first part their heirs and 
assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against 
themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever.
In witness whereof the said parties of the first part hath hereunto set their 
hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written.

Georgia       }   Personally appeared before me Nancy Register who being duly
Sumter County }   sworn says that she saw James Aycock, Amanda Frazier (by 
                  making her mark) and Z. Bailey sign seal and deliver the 
written deed for the purposes therein named and saw Benj Register, J. S. 
Dudley, W. H. Barlow, Duncan McNeil sign the same as  witnesses and this 
deponant signed as a witness also.
Sworn to and subscribed before me July 4, 1870.
