The foreman, Col. W. T. Davenport, i 80 years of age, while the youngest member, K. M. McDonald, is 42. Four memebrs are 70 years old, four more are more than 60 years old and four others have long since passed the half century mark. The average age of the twenty-two members of this jury is 60 years while the aggregate of their ages is 1,336 years. In religion, seven are Methodists, six are Baptists and two are Presbyterians. The bailiff who attends this ancient and honorable body is a confederate veteran, 57 years old, and whose person bears the marks of sixteen bullets received in battle.
