Jackson, the defaulting assistant postmaster at Americus, was sent to Albany, N.Y., Sunday night in charge of Messrs. Walter Corbett and Cliff Vigal Jackson, once so popular and well thought of, seemed keenly to realize the degrading station into which he had fallen, and as he left the jail, he turned around to hide the tears which were flowing thick and fast from his eyes.
