Wiggins has six acres of cotton that will produce ten bales. He has already gotten six bales from it, and he is convinced that there are yet four in the field. While this may be true, there are others who will not make six bales from forty acres, and we fear very much that the receipts at Americus for this season will hardly exceed eighteen thousand bales, as we learn that nearly all has been picked out. From Americus to Lumpkin the fields present a blank and barren appearance.
