William C. Cozad, 77, of Buena Vista, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at Magnolia 
Manor in Americus, Georgia.

Mr. Cozad was born November 10, 1930, in Manown, West Virginia, to Ross Albert 
and Mae Kisner Cozad. He came from Kingwood, West Virginia to Buena Vista to 
be closer to his daughter.  He was a painter by trade and served honorably in 
the US Army. He was an active member of the VFW in West Virginia and Georgia. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth 
Cozad and Earl Cozad, and by two sisters, Mildred Shingleton and Dorris 
Broadwater, and one grandchild.

Mr. Cozad is survived by a daughter, Gloria Gauthier and husband Matthew of 
Buena Vista, a second daughter and one son.  Also, he is survived by a 
brother, Robert Cozad; three sisters, Helen Marie Sipes, Betty Graham, and 
Peggy Field; and by seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Buena Vista and in West 
Virginia. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Kingwood VFW.

Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista was in charge of arrangements.
