Holt, Jerry Lee
Mr. Holt was born July 23, 1956 in Sumter County, GA to Mrs. Lee Alice Holt 
and Mr. Jessie Hayes, Sr.  He attended public schools in Sumter County and 
after graduating, enter the US Army, serving as a Chef.  He became a member of 
the National Guard upon completing his US Army service.  He was a member of 
the Eastview Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  He was preceded in death by his 
brother Glenn Holt, October 1, 1987. .  Funeral services were held Monday, 
December 30, 1996 at the Eastview Seventh Day Adventist Church in Americus, 
GA; Pastor Walter Boyd officiated.  Burial in Eastview Cemetery.  Survivors 
include 12 sisters: Mrs. Mary Alice (Maud) Blue of Swedesboro, NJ, Mrs. Lois 
(Charles) Bishop of Delray Beach, FL,  Ms Bernice Holt of Lakeworth, FL, Mrs. 
Essie Holt Jordan, Mrs. Edna (Anthony) Dunning, Ms Sharon Clemons, Ms Carolyn 
Hayes, Ms Marilyn Hayes Zanders and Ms Flora Soloman, all of Americus, GA.  Ms 
Alice Holt of Atlanta, GA, Ms Marva Rouland of Irvington, NY, Ms Flora Thomas 
of Philadelphia, PA; 6 brothers: Mr. Ben (Barbara) Holt, Mr. John Hayes, Mr. 
Gregory Hayes, Mr. Jeffrey Hayes, all of Americus, GA, Mr. Jessie Lee Hayes, 
Jr., Mr. Victor Hayes of Atlanta, GA; 3 aunts, Ms Sallie Oliver of Americus, 
GA, Ms Mary Lee (Charles) Gibson of Atlanta, GA, Ms Rosella Sanford of 
Tazewell, GA, 2 great aunts, Ms Ella King of Tazewell, GA, Ms Grace Graham of 
Sharon Hill, PA, 6 uncles, Mr. Eugene Holt, Mr. Robert Holt and Mr. Bishop
