Jones, 63, who died at the city hospital Saturday morning, was held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. W. A. Joyner, pastor of the First Christian church, officiated. Mrs. Jones, born in Gwinnette [sic] county, Ga., had lived in the 28th District of Sumter county for seven years. She is survived by her husband, J. W. Jones; children, Gratis Jones, Social Circle, Ga.; Mrs. Ethel Moon, Grayson, Ga.; Mrs. Allie Harris, Stockbridge, Ga.; James W. Jones, Jefferson Barracks, Mo.; W. A. Jones, Americus; A. H. Jones, Miami; Mrs. Annie Lou Black, Vienna, Ga.; Mrs. T. E. McCrary, Americus; and Miss Mary Lizzie Jones, Americus; twenty-five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; father, W. L. Olds, Pitts, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Lora Wilson, Logansville; brothers, Pearlie Olds, Cordele; Ernest Olds, of Florida, and Vernie Olds of South Carolina. Additional Comments: Rossie Viola (Olds) Jones was born 25 November 1878 in Gwinnett Co., GA to Lucious Willie Olds and Frances Elizabeth (Clower) Olds. She married James Wiley Jones on 8 August 1895 in Gwinnett Co., GA.
