W. Jones Passes Away Dies While Visiting Son in Social Circle James Wiley Jones, 81, died suddenly while visiting his son, G. W. Jones, in Social Circle Tuesday. The retired farmer was born in Lawrenceville and lived most of his life there moving to Sumter county and retiring about 11 years ago. He lived with his daughter, Mrs. T. E. McCrary, on the Vienna road. In addition to G. W. Jones and Mrs. McCrary he is survived by three sons, J.W., Jr., of St. Louis, Mo., W. A. of LaGrange, and A. H. of Miami, Fla.; and four daughters, Mrs. Ed Moon of Logansville, Mrs. T. P. Harris of Rex, and Mrs. T. L. Black of Vienna, and Miss Mary Jones of Milledgeville. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at Pleasant Grove Baptist church at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. W. A. Joyner officiating. Internment was to be in the churchyard cemetery. Pallbearers were to be E. C. Henson, Ed Morgan, J. S. McCrary, L. G. Hudson, Walter Bellisle, and I. P. Wall. The I. B. Davis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Additional Comments: James Wiley Jones was born 1 October 1867 in Gwinnett Co., GA, the son of Jesse and Lucinda (Wiley) Jones. He married Rossie Viola Olds on 8 August 1895 in Gwinnett Co., GA.
