Americus, Ga., June 30- Captain K. M. McDonald, one of Sumter county's largest planters and most prominent citizens died this morning of fever, after five weeks' illness. Captain McDonald was 63 years old and ranked high as citizen and Mason. He is survived by a large family, two sisters and two brothers, among the latter, Dr. Hugh McDonald, of Atlanta.
