A Sad Death

Miss Lizzie, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Miers, died Saturday 
morning of consumption after a lingering illness of several months.  She was a 
bright and beautiful girl just budding into lovely womanhood, and her sad and 
untimely death was a terrible shock to her devoted family of which she was the 
idol.  She was buried in Oak Grove cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3 ˝ o’clock. – 
Americus Recorder
