The wires from Americus this morning bring the sad news of the death of M.K. 
McClung in that city last night at 9 o’clock of congestion.  He was here at the 
tournament Wednesday in the highest enjoyment of physical health and today is 
in the cold embrace of death.  Kirt as he was familiarly called, was a popular 
young man and his sudden demise is peculiarly painful to his numerous friends 
here.
