SIMS, MARY GLADYS STEWART
Barnum Funeral Home; January 1995; Funeral services for Mrs. Sims of 103 Glenn 
Street, Americus, GA, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 1995 at the 
Bethlehem Baptist Church in Plains, GA, Leonard Boston officiating.  Burial in 
the church cemetery. She was born December 22, 1922 in Sumter County, GA to 
the late Robert and Emma Mack Stewart.  She is survived by her husband, L. W. 
Sims; 7 daughters, Ms Annie Ruth Harvey, Ms Catherine Poole, Ms Georgia 
Mitchell, Ms Minnie Lee Davis, Ms Martha Seay, Ms Ernestine Iverson, Ms 
Deborah Ann Sims; 5 sons, Bobby Sims, Harold Sims, Robert Lee Sims, McArthur 
Edwards and Charlie Will Sims; 3 sisters, Ms Annie Thomas, Ms Agnes Angry, Ms 
Martha Edwards; 6 brothers, Paul Sheffield, Tommie Stewart, Lynwood Stewart, 
S. T. Sheffield, George Sheffield and Sammie Stewart; 33 grandchildren, 30 
great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
