James Alonzo Felts was born December 2, 1866 in Americus, Sumter County, 
Georgia.  He married Rossie Nancy Barksdale on May 26, 1890 in St. Petersburg, 
Hillsborough County, Florida and Malinda Idell Prince on March 26, 1905 in Lee 
County, Alabama.  He died September 26, 1950 in Palma Sola, Manatee County, 
Florida.  He was the father of 16 children.

James Alonzo Felts is this submitter's great grandfather on her maternal 
grandfather's side.

Additional Comments:
James' parents are William E. Felts and C. Alice Ansley and his grandparents 
are George G. Felts and Cinthia Lucretia Blackshear and Elbert Oxford Ansley 
and Mary Jane Council.  George G. Felts is found living in Sumter County in 
the 1850 and 1860 Sumter County, Georgia Census Records.  The Ansley's lived 
in Sumter County for many years.  Elbert Oxford Ansley and Mary Jane Council 
are buried in the Benevolence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Americus, 
Sumter County, Georgia.
