Asa was born July 11, 1804 in Warren County, Georgia to Abel Ansley and Lydia 
Harrison Morris.  He married Rebecca Wade on March 2, 1826.  They were the 
parents of 8 children.  Asa died April 23, 1883 in Sumter County, Georgia and 
is buried in the Benevolence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Americus, 
Sumter County, Georgia.
