The secret came to the surface in that city yesterday when Mr. E.L. Cherry, of Milledgeville, appeared to claim and take home his bride, nee Miss Alice Goodman. Mr. Cherry had been making regular monthly visits to Miss Goodman, and during a visit about a month ago, the last one until yesterday, when he came to take home his bride, they decided to marry secretly. It was kept a profound secret for a month, and not even the immediate family of the contracting parties knew anything of it.
